WW2TV

With the final proof of the Burma book returned, it’s now the waiting game to receive the first copies of the book. It’s being printed now and this is the ‘flat’ time, where you hope that everything is going well and that you hope you have spotted all the mistakes and sorted out all the corrections! The excitement is building day by day, but it’s still a nervous time.

I’ve taken the opportunity to do a small piece for my good friend Paul at WW2TV tonight tell the story of Second Suffolk’s actions in Arakan in January 1944, and their unsuccessful endeavour to take ‘Bamboo Hill’. It was also a good chance to promote the forthcoming book on their war and get some interest in advance of its launch. Please do check out the video on my ‘Media’ page to watch it.

There is still lots to do in the build-up to the books actual launch next month, and I’m writing some articles to promote it in a couple of military history magazines, so it’s as busy as ever!

I’ve also been working hard on writing a small memorial volume to a Suffolk veteran which is nearing completion. There will be more about that in due course and details of where you will be able to get a copy, so watch this space…
